Posting a Job
How Job Creation Works
Posting a delivery job on SoundMove is free and only takes a few details. You describe what needs to be moved, where it's going, and when. Verified drivers then compete by submitting their best prices.
Your job stays open for up to 90 days, giving plenty of time for drivers to discover it and place bids. You're under no obligation to accept any bid.
Job Details
Item type
Choose what you're moving from the list. Pick the option that best matches your item, such as Furniture, Appliances, or Boxes. If nothing fits, select "Other" and describe your item so drivers know exactly what to expect.
Description
Optional, but highly recommended. Including details like access, parking, floor levels, disassembly, or special handling helps drivers bid more accurately and avoids unnecessary questions later.
Pickup & Delivery Details
Both pickup and delivery require a full address, including city, region, and postal code. Our address picker will find the exact coordinates so drivers can plan their route.
Required fields
- Street address
- City
- Region
- Postal code
- Date (pickup and delivery)
Optional fields
- Floor level
- Loading/unloading details (stairs, lift, etc.)
- Flexible dates toggle
Tip: The delivery date must be on or after the pickup date. If your dates are flexible, enable the "Flexible dates" toggle — this tells drivers you're open to scheduling around their availability, which often attracts lower bids.
Adding Items
Every job needs at least one item. Be as detailed as possible so drivers can give you an accurate quote.
Item name
e.g. "3-seater leather sofa", "Samsung 65-inch TV"
Description, quantity, weight (kg), and dimensions (L x W x H in cm)
The more info you provide, the more accurate the bids will be
Adding Photos
Photos help drivers understand exactly what they'll be moving. You can upload up to 5 photos per item, each up to 5MB in size.
Upload from your computer
Click the "Photo" button on any item to upload images from your device.
Upload from your phone
Click the "Phone" button to get a QR code. Scan it with your phone to take photos directly from your camera — they'll appear on your desktop in real time, no refresh needed.
Tip: Jobs with photos receive up to 3x more bids. Show the item from multiple angles, any existing damage, and the access points (doorways, staircases) at both locations.
After Posting
Once your job is live, it's visible to all verified drivers in the relevant service area. Here's what to expect:
Drivers compete for your job
You'll see bids appear on your job details page, sorted by lowest price first.
Answer questions
Drivers can ask about your job in the Q&A section, and your answers show on the listing for every driver.
Accept a bid
When you're ready, accept the bid that best fits your needs, and make the payment. This creates a booking.
Editing Your Job
You can update the item details and description of your job at any time while it's still open. Click the edit button on your job details page to make changes. You can also add or remove photos from items.
